The Moose Jaw Housing Authority delivers various home repairs programs on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) to assist low-income homeowners upgrade their homes to minimum health and safety standards.

  • Homeowner Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (Homeowner RRAP)
  • RRAP for Persons with Disabilities
  • Saskatchewan Adaptations for Independence Program (SHAIP)
  • Home Adaptations for Seniors Independence (HASI)
  • Saskatchewan Emergency Repair Program (SERP)

  • Total household income must be less than the specified income limits
  • The applicant must be the registered owner of the property and the property must be the principal residence of the applicant.
  • There must also be a major deficiency in one of the following areas: plumbing, heating, electrical, structural or fire safety.
  • A doctor’s certificate is required for RRAP for Person with Disabilities that must confirm that nature of the disability and the repairs that are necessary to accommodate the disability.

  • Homeowner RRAP and RRAP for Person with Disabilities each have a maximum forgivable loan in the amount of $16,000 in southern areas of the province and $19,000 in the north. For dwellings without permanent foundations, the maximum forgivable loan is $8,000 in the south and $9,500 in the north
  • SHAIP and HASI each have a maximum forgivable loan in the amount of $3,500.
