The Moose Jaw
Housing Authority delivers various home repairs programs on
behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) to assist
low-income homeowners upgrade their homes to minimum health
and safety standards.

Homeowner Residential
Rehabilitation Assistance Program
(Homeowner RRAP)

RRAP for Persons with Disabilities
-
Saskatchewan Adaptations for Independence Program
(SHAIP)

Home Adaptations for Seniors
Independence (HASI)

Saskatchewan Emergency Repair
Program
(SERP)

Total household income must be less than the specified income
limits
-
The applicant must be the registered owner of the property
and the property must be the principal residence of the
applicant.
-
There must also be a major deficiency in one of the
following areas: plumbing, heating, electrical, structural
or fire safety.

A doctor’s certificate is required for RRAP for Person
with Disabilities that must confirm that nature of
the disability and the repairs that are necessary to
accommodate the disability.

Homeowner
RRAP and RRAP for Person with Disabilities each have a
maximum forgivable loan in the amount of $16,000 in southern
areas of the province and $19,000 in the north. For
dwellings without permanent foundations, the maximum
forgivable loan is $8,000 in the south and $9,500 in the
north

SHAIP and
HASI each have a maximum forgivable loan in the amount of
$3,500.
